Booking a Branding Photoshoot Doesn’t Have to Feel Like a Big Task

What Actually Happens When You Decide to Book a Branding Shoot

If you’ve been wondering whether booking a branding photoshoot is worth the effort, this post is here to show you what the process of booking actually looks like, step by step.

This is how booking a branding photoshoot with me works. No pressure, just a clear and manageable process.

Step 1: You send an enquiry

That’s it, it’s just a message, not a signed contract. You’re simply saying: “I’d like to know more”. You don’t have to book and it’s ok to say “No, not this time”.

Step 2: I reply with availability and details

I’ll send you available dates and practical information about the branding session. You can read it when you have the headspace. There’s no expectation that you decide immediately or decide at all.

Step 3: We confirm the booking

If the dates work and it all feels right, we confirm the session with two things:

  • A contract, so expectations are clear on both sides
  • Payment, so it’s out of the way and your time slot is secured

Once this is done, the session is booked and you don’t need to think about it again until closer to the shoot. You can tick it off your list.

Step 4: You fill out a short branding questionnaire

This questionnaire is about you and your business. You can complete it at your own pace.

It helps me understand who you are, what you do, and how and where you want to show up visually, so your branding photos feel personal rather than generic. All that information also provides inspiration for ideas we might want to try.

Step 5: We have a planning call

This is where most people relax. We talk through ideas, locations, props, outfits, and any worries you might have. We confirm the details and make sure everything feels good. You don’t need to come prepared or know exactly what you want yet. That’s part of what the planning call is for.

Step 6. Relax. That’s it.

There are no extra hoops. No complicated prep lists (well, there may be a small list of outfits and props to get ready). No pressure to perform.

If you’ve been putting off booking a branding photoshoot because it feels like too much, I hope this shows you that it’s manageable. You don’t need to decide everything at once.

When you feel ready, it starts with a message.
We’ll take it one step at a time.
